The following tips are using stuff around the house that you never knew you could use for simple and effective cleaning tips.
Using vinegar and baking soda did you know you can end up with a super clean dishwasher?
When running your next load in the dishwasher, place a dishwasher safe cup, filled with white vinegar on the top rack and add baking soda to the bottom rack. Make sure you still use your detergent like normal. The combination of all 3 will not only clean your dishes but your dishwasher itself will be sparkly clean.
Cleaning your wooden cutting boards using lemon and salt:
Simply sprinkle wooden cutting boards down coarse salt and rub down with a cut lemon. Rinse with soap and dry with a tea towel.
Oven cleaning tip: Make sure your oven is absolutely cold for this one!
Place half a cup of ammonia into a bowl and close the oven door overnight. The fumes from the ammonia will loosen all the dirt and will then be simple to wipe down the next day.
Did you know tin foil can be used for cleaning?
Just crumple up a piece of tin foil to remove baked on food from your glass cookware. Its actually easier on your hands than steel wool!
Bread slice - Use bread to pick up broken glass.
Seriously its easier than using a cloth and you can just throw it away as soon as you are done. The glass sticks to the bread which allows you to pick it up easily and helps you to gather the small bits that a brush might well miss!
Chalk for grease stain removal!
Yes another item you may have in a draw or your kids bedroom a piece of chalk can be used for grease stain removal. Before you put your item of clothing in the wash simply rub the grease stains with your piece of chalk. The dust will absorb the grease and will all be rinsed away in the wash!
Glitter all over the place?
Another great piece of kids kit is Play Do. Alls you have to do is press the play-do onto the loose glitter! Simple as that!
Do your make up brushes need cleaning?
Using baby shampoo simply wash and rinse your make up brushes and blot them to see if any more make up is remaining. Once clean make sure you hang them upside down to dry so that no water collects inside the handles.
